Kumera is a script written in Perl and is an Open Source Content Management System. This script allows separation of content from presentation. In this system there are multiple users, each having a different role within each sub-site. There is a hierarchy of users- writer, editor and a sub-editor who can perform various functions. For example the writer can edit and create pages but he cannot see or even modify the pages of other writes. The sub-editor can do everything a writer can do, plus can also browse pages and even edit them if, they are locked out by someone else. The third user is a full-editor can do everything a sub-editor can do and can also delete any page and can commit any page that is locked out. It uses XML for data storage, and is designed for small to medium web sites.
