XDE is a spell checker applet that can serve as both a client side and server side applet. It allows complete control of the dictionary through Word 97 or Java and supports multiple language including ASP.NET. When installed as a Client side solution it provides a GUI interface to the user to check the spelling. When used as a COM or Servlet server side code, you can create an html front-end to perform spell checking. It supports over 200+ languages.
