Using XML as the Foundation for Distributed Design description
Visual Studio.NET and the .NET Framework provide a rich set of XML capabilities. This presentation demonstrates how to use those capabilities by taking an approach that puts XML at the core of the architecture / design of a reality-based distributed application scenario. Among the topics to be covered is the use of the XML Type System (XSD) to express a physical design, generation of business entities based upon an XML Schema, uses of XML Serialization, XML Web Services, leveraging XSD for validation and using XSLT. All topics will be illustrated by demonstrating their use in an actual distributed application scenario.
